Wok, big mixing bowl, bowl, plate.


Serves 2
Ingredients:


200g / 7 oz. beef, cut into large
20 garlic cloves
1-2 bottles beer
1-2 tbsps.chili bean sauce
2 tbsps.vegetable oil for stir-frying


Marinade:


1 tbsp.rice wine, or dry sherry
1 tbsp.light soy sauce
1 stalk scallion, cut into sections
5 slices ginger
1 tbsp.cornstarch, mixed with 4 tbsps.water in a bowl


Directions:


1. Marinate the beef with the marinade in a big mixing bowl, about 15 minutes (P1).

2. Preheat a wok over high heat for at least 30 seconds before adding 2 tbsps.vegetable oil, when the oil is hot, put marinated beef back into it, stir fry over medium heat, add chili bean sauce when the meat turns color (P2).

3. Add enough beer to cover the beef, cover and stew over medium high heat for about 5 minutes (P3).

4. Put garlic cloves into the wok, continue to cook until soften (P4).

5. Remove from the wok to a plate, serve hot (P5).
