Onion and Beef Stir-fry Recipe:
The ingredients of this dish like onion and beef is easy prepared for westerners, especially for American. You can learn several basic operation of Chinese food cooking such as pan-fry, pickle and etc. So don't hesitate, let's begin.
Wok, bowl, plate.
Ingredients:
- 3 thin strips of beef/spareribs
- 1 onion, peeled
- 1 tbsp.Shao-Hsing rice wine, or dry sherry
- 1 tbsp.saleratus
- 1 tbsp.light soy sauce
- 2 tbsps.water
- 1 tbsp.cornstarch
- 2 tbsps.chili paste
- 1 tbsp.ground black pepper
- 2 tssps.water
Direction:
1. Cut the beef into bite size pieces, combine with Seasoning A in a bowl and let marinate for 10 minutes.
2. Add proper quantity of vegetable oil into a wok according to the size of the wok until the oil cover the whole bottom of the wok, then pan-fry (if you dont konw this operation,you can look up it at Glossary of cooking Terms) the beef until bothsides are crispy and golden.
3. Cut onion into thin strips like the picture given above, add back into the pan with seasoning B ,stir to mix everything together. Serve on a plate.
