Chinese Carrot and Potato Salad

Chinese Carrot and Potato Salad:
This salad recipe is a terrific combination of carrot, cucumber and potato. If you are looking for a differently delicious salad recipe, give this Chinese carrot and potato salad a try.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Utensils:
Pot, 2 mixing bowls, wooden spoon.
Makes 1 portion of carrot and potato salad.
Ingredients:
1 carrot
1 potato, peeled
1 cucumber
3 slices ham
1 cooked egg yolk, smashed
5 cups water
Seasonings:
3 tbsps.salad dressing
1 tbsp.ground black pepper
Salt and sugar to taste
Directions:
1. Cut the carrot, cucumber and ham into bite-sized pieces (P1). Combine carrot and cucumber cubes in a mixing bowl, then toss 2 tsps.salt and let marinate for 15 minutes, then drain well.

2. Slice potato according to P2, then bring a large pot of water to a boil, cook the potato slices for 6 minutes, or until soften. Drain well and remove to a cutting board, smash into paste with a wooden spoon.

3. Add potato paste, egg yolk paste, carrot, cucumber and ham cubes into a mixing bowl, stir in all the seasonings, Stir to mix everything together, serve (P3).
