Chinese Homemade Pumpkin Pancake Recipe:
THis pumpkin pancake is one kind of the most famous Chinese food, one taste of this crunch, tasty and delicious pancake, and you'll know why it's such a favorite.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Utensils:
Frying pan, bowl, plate.
Serves 3 as a side dish
Ingredients:
17 oz./500g pumpkin, peeled and cut into thin strips3 tbsps.flour1 beaten egg, whisked lightly1/4 cup water2 tbsps.vegetable oil
Seasonings:
1/2 tsp.salt, or to taste.
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine pumpkin stips gently with 3tbsps.flour, 1 whisked egg, 1/4 cup of water, and proper quantity of salt, mix well (P1).
P12. In a non-stick frying pan, add 1-2 tsps.vegetable oil and swirl it around the surface, when the oil is hot, place part of the pumpkin paste into it, use a spatula to spread them evenly around the pan, cook bothsides over low heat until golden (P2&3).
P23. Cook the remaining pumpkin paste according to step 2.
P34. Remove from the pan to a board, then cut into triangle, serve on a plate (P4).
