Honey Yam Recipe

Honey Yam Recipe:
This recipe features juicy and crispy yam, enhanced with a sweet honey sauce burst with flavor. This honey yam recipe is perfect when you want something easy, healthy, and satisfying.

Cook time: 8 minutes
 
Utensils:
Wok, bowl, serving plate.
Serves 2
 
Ingredients:
17 oz./500 g yams
5 oz./150 g granulated sugar
2 tbsps.honey liquid
1 tbsp.bean sauce
Enough vegetable oil for deep-frying
Directions:
1. Rinse the yams and peel them well, cut into thin 1-inch length and 1/2-inch width strips, soak in water before needed (P1).
2. Preheat a wok with enough vegetable oil, add yam strips when the oil is hot, turn off the heat when the yam turns yellow (P2), drain well and set aside for later use.
3. Pour 1/2 cup water into a separate wok, add 5 oz./150 g granulated sugar, cook until the sugar melts(P3).
4. When the sugar thickens, add yam strips, then 1 tbsp.bean sauce and 2 tbsps.honey liquid, stirring and tossing to mix everything together, cook about 2 minutes, or until cooked (P4).
