Pork Tofu Rolls

Pork Tofu Rolls:
If you like Spring Rolls or Egg Rolls, you will love this Pork Tofu Rolls. It only takes you a few minutes to cook, indeed pork tofu rolls are nutritious as well.
 
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
 
Utensils:
Non-stick skillet, kitchen paper, bowl, 2 serving plates.
Serves 3
 
Ingredients:
7oz.(200g) pork, thinly sliced(P1)
1 block firm tofu(about 17oz.), cut into 2-inches long cubes(P1), drained before use(see tips)
3 tbsp.vegetable oil for pan-frying

Marinade:
2 tbsp.light soy sauce
1 tbsp.Shao-Hsing rice wine
1 tsp.sornstarch
1 tsp.granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Wrap thin pork slices around each tofu cubes tighty according to P2, then set pork tofu rolls aside on a plate.

2. Mix all the marinade in a bowl for sauce, swirl it over the pork tofu rolls evenly, let marinate for 20 minutes(P3).

3. Add 3 tbsp.vegetable oil to a non-stick skillet, and preheat on medium-high flame, when the oil is hot,but not yet smoking, pan fry each pork tofu rolls until bothsides are golden, which will take about 2 minutes.
4. Remove from heat, arrange neatly on serving plate, let cool 5 minutes before serving, serve with catchup if desired(P4).

Tips:
How to drain tofu before using:
1. Cut tofu into uniform size pieces.
2. Lay a kitchen paper out on a big serving plate, arrange tofu cubes on it neatly, then cover another kitchen paper on them.
3. At last, put a book or any other heavy things on it, let sit for 20 minutes until needed.
4. During this period, you may find water leeks out of tofu, don't worry, just drain it by tiltting the plate if needed.
