Carrot Meatballs Recipe

Carrot Meatballs Recipe:
The combination of carrot and meat is one of those heaven-made matches that you simply must try if you haven't already.
 
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
 
Utensils:
Frying pan, colander, grater, plate.
 
Serves 2
 
Ingredients: (P1)
1-2 carrots, washed and grated well
3.5 oz./100g ground pork, or beef
1 tbsp.grated ginger
1 tbsp.five-spice powder
1 tbsp.chopped scallion
1 tbsp.chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp.light soy sauce
1 tsp.salt, or to taste
1 beaten egg
5 tbsps.vegetable oil
1/2 cup flour

Directions:
1. Add all the ingredients in a big mixing bowl, stirring and mix well (P2).

2. Form the mixture into tiny meatballs of about 2-inches diameter.
3. Add vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat, heat until it is shimmering on the bottom and very hot but not yet smoking. Add in meatballs, deep fry over medium heat until the color turns golden, about 10 minutes.
4. Drain well in a colander or on kitchen paper, place on a plate and serve (P3).
