Garlic Pork Recipe

Garlic Pork Recipe:
This pork recipe is an easy, elegant and delicious course, paired with tasty fermented tofu, garlic pork recipe can really gives you a refreshing taste.

Utensils:
Wok, 3 bowls, serving plate.
Serves 3
 
Ingredients:
7 oz./200g pork or beef
4 cubes fermented tofu
4 crushed garlic cloves
2-4 tbsps.vegetable oil
2-3 cups water
Seasonings:
2 tbsps.light soy sauce
1 tbsp.Shao-Hsing rice wine, or dry sherry
2 tsps.five-spice powder
2 tsps.granulated sugar
1 tsp.salt, or to taste
Directions:
1. Rinse the pork through running water, drain well and chop into 1-inch cubes (P1), mash the fermented tofu cubes with the back of a spoon, set them aside.

2. In a bowl, gently mix pork cubes, fermented tofu paste, 4 crushed garlic cloves, 2 tsps.five-spice powder, 2 tbsps.light soy sauce, and 1 tbsp.Shao-Hsing rice wine together (P2), leave 30-40 minutes until all the flavors have blended, stirring occasionally (P3).

3. Preheat a wok on medium high heat for 1 minute before adding 2-4 tbsps.vegetable oil, swirl the oil around the wok until it is hot, then add pork cubes back into the wok, cook briefly to mix everything together (P4).

4. Add 2-3 cups water into the wok, season with 1 tsp.salt and 2 tsps.granulated sugar, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens (P5).

5. Remove to a serving plaste, serve with coriander leaves if desired (P6).
