Green Pepper and Pork Stir-fry Recipe:
This classic Chinese food recipe features a great combination of green pepper and pork. It only has a handful of easy-to-get ingredients, but the finished one is full flavored and great for entertaining.
 
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
 
Utensils:
Wok, 2 serving plates.
 
Serves 3 as a side dish of a big meal,or make a main meal for 2 when served over steamed rice.
 
Ingredients:
9 oz./250g pork
3.5 oz./100g green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tbsps.vegetable oil for stir-frying
Seasonings:
1 tbsp.bean sauce
1 tbsp.chili paste, optional
1 tsp.salt, or to taste
Directions:
1. Rinse pork through warm water, drain well, cut aross the grain into thin slices that are 1-inch long.
2. Preheat a wok on medium-high flame, add 2 tbsps.vegetable oil, when hot, add pork and stir fry for about 1 minute, or until turns white.
3. Stir in 1 tbsp.bean sauce and 1 tbsp.chili paste(optional), stirring and tossing the mixture around the wok for 30 seconds.
4. Finally, put green peppers back into the wok, stir for 2 minutes, or until soften. Then add salt and adjust seasoning, cook briefly to mix everything together.
5. Remove from wok to a serving plate, serve hot.
