Meat Strips with Scallion Stir-fry Recipe:
Meat strips with scallion stir-fry recipe is a famous Chinese recipe. It features a terrific combination of tangy scallion and juicy meat. It makes a great party appetizer or main meal.

Utensils:
Wok, plate.
 
Makes a main meal for 2 when served over rice or noodles.
 
Ingredients:
7 oz./200 g pork, cut into thin strips, feel free to substitute beef for pork.
1 tbsp. sweet fermented flour paste
2 tbsps.light soy sauce
1 tbsp.cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 cup water in a bowl
1/2 stalk scallion, cut into thin strips
1 tsp.salt, or to taste
2 tbsps.vegetable oil
Directions:

1. Put pork strips in a bowl, whisk in 1 tsp.salt and 1 tbsp.cornstarch, mix well and let sit for 10 minutes.

2. Place a wok over medium heat, add 2 tbsps.vegetable oil and drizzle it so that it coats both the sides and the bottom of the wok, cook the pork strips just until the color turns white, do not brown (P1).

3. Push the meat to the side, add 1 tbsp.sweet fermented flour paste into the middle of the wok, stir over medium heat until aromatic, about 30 seconds (P2).

4. Stir them together over medium heat until blended well (P3).

5. Swirl in the cornstarch water mixture into the wok, stir quickly to thicken.

6. Remove from the wok to a plate, top with scallion strips before serving (P4).
