Sticky Rice with Spareribs Recipe

Sticky Rice with Spareribs Recipe:
You will enjoy the meaty spareribs coated with sticky rice in this simple sticky rice with spareribs recipe. It is simple to master as well.

Cook time: 25 minutes
 
Utensils:
Pot, wok, bowl, plate.
 
Serves 2
 
Ingredients:
7 oz./200 g spareribs, cut into 2-inches sections
7 oz./200 g sticky rice, soaked before needed
1 tbsp.minced ginger
1 red pepper, seeded,diced
1 green pepper, seeded, diced
1-2 cups chicken stock
2 tbsps.vegetable oil
Seasonings:
1 tbsp.chicken essence
1 tsp.salt, or to taste
1 tsp.white sugar
1 tbsp.cornstarch, mixed with 4 tbsps.water
Directions:

1. In a bowl, combine spareribs with 1 tbsp.chicken essence, 1 tsp.salt, and 1 tbsp.minced ginger together, let marinate for 10 minutes.

2. Coat the marinated spareribs with soaked sticky rice lightly, then place on a plate (P1).

3. Put a large pot of water on to a boil, put on the basket, then the plate, cover and cook over high heat for 20 minutes.

4. Heat a wok, add 1-2 cups chicken stock, red pepper, green pepper, and white sugar, bring to a boil, swirl the cornstarch/water mixture into the wok, stirring quickly to thicken, glaze over the steamed spareribs evenly (P2).
