Sweet and Sour Pork Recipe

Sweet and Sour Pork Recipe:
This sweet and sour pork recipe features juicy and meaty pork, enhanced with a thick sweet and sour sauce. If you want something simple and delicious, give this a try.

Utensils:
Non-stick skillet, mixing bowl, serving plate.
Serves 3
 
Ingredients:
10 oz./300g pork
1 carrot, sliced (P1)
1 green pepper, cut into cubes
1 tbsp.chopped scallion
1 tbsp.freshly grated ginger root
4 garlic cloves, sliced
2 tbsps.cornstarch
1/2 cup bear
5 tbsps.vegetable oil for deep-frying

Seasonings:
2 tbsps.rice vinegar
1 tbsp.soy sauce, low-sodium
1 tsp.salt
4 tsps.granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Cut the pork into 1/2-1 inch cubes (P2), combine with 2 tbsps.cornstarch, 1 tsp.salt, and 1/2 cup bear in a mixing bowl, stir to mix well and let marinate for 20 minutes.

2. Place a non-stick skillet over high heat, heat 5 tbsps.vegetable oil until hot, deep fry marinated pork cubes for 1-2 minutes, or until golden, drain well in a colander and set aside for later use (P3).

3. Pour off all but 2 tbsps.vegetable oil from the skillet, then stir fry the carrot slices with the oil for 1 minute, transfer to a plate for later use.
4. Add scallion, ginger, and garlic into the skillet in question, saute until aromatic, about 20 seconds, then add 2 tbsps.rice vinegar, 1 tbsp.soy sauce and 4 tsp.sugar (P4).

5. Put golden pork cubes, carrot slices and green pepper cubes back into the skillet, stirring and tossing to mix everything together.
6. Remove from heat to a serving plate, serve hot (P5).
