Easy Clam Recipe

Easy Clam Recipe:
This recipe is a great way to enjoy clam, and here the red bell pepper and cayenne adds a special flavor to the clam, see how it's done.
 
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
 
Utensils:
Microwave oven, wok, bowl, plate.
 
Serves 2 as a side dish.
 
Ingredients:
10 oz./300 g clam
1-2 tbsps.chopped scallion
1-2 tbsps.minced fresh ginger
1 red bell pepper, seeded, diced
5 tbsps.vegetable oil
Seasonings:
2-4 tbsps.light soy sauce
1-2 tbsps.Chinese cooking wine, or dry sherry
1 tbsp.salt, or to taste
1 tbsp.cayenne
Directions:
1. Before cooking, rinse and drain clam well, then combine with cooking wine in a mixing bowl, let it marinate for 20 minutes (P1).

2. Making sauce by whisking light soy sauce, salt, cayenne, fresh ginger, and diced bell pepper in a bowl (P2).

3. Blanch the calm in boiling water, then transfer them to a big plate, spoon over the sauce lightly.
4. Put the plate into the microwave oven, cook for about 5 minutes over high heat. In the meantime, heat 3-5 tbsps.vegetable oil in a wok till hot.
5. Take out the plate when cooked, sprinkle with chopped scallion evenly, then spoon hot oil lightly over them to glaze.
6. Let cool 3 minutes before serving (P3).
