Prawn Pancake Recipe

Prawn Pancake Recipe:
Prawn pancake is as comforting as it is simple, also a delicious way to break the boring prawn routine.
Perp time: 5 minutes
Total time: 20 minutes
 
Utensils:
Wok, colander, mixing bowl, kitchen paper, plate.
 
Serves 2
 
Ingredients:
14 oz./400g prawn, peeled, deveined
7 oz./200g pork or beef
1 raw egg white
1 tbsp.ground black pepper
2 tbsps.light soy sauce
1 tbsp.salt, or to taste
1 tbsp.sesame oil
5 tbsps.vegetable oil
Directions:

1. Chop both the prawn and pork into small pieces, then combine them together in a mixing bowl.

2. Stir into egg white, black pepper, light soy sauce, salt, and sesame oil, stir clockwise with the fork or chopsticks until sticky and the paste forms (P1).

3. Form the paste into 2-3 pancakes.

4. Heat 5 tbsps.vegetable oil in a wok over high heat, when hot, place in the pamcake, sear over medium heat, turn and sear the other side when one side is cooked through and golden, do not brown (P2).

5. Drain them well in a colander or on kitchen papers, serve hot (P3).
