This red-cooked shrimp recipe is great when you want stewed shrimp, plus the refreshing sauce that scallion, ginger, and cayenne pepper combine to make, red-cooked shrimp is perfect for you.
Prep time: 5 minutes.
Cook time: 6 minutes.

Ingredients:
7 oz./200 g jumbo shrimp, shell-on, deveined (P1)1 scallion, cut into 1-inch length5 slices fresh ginger, peeled4 garlic cloves, sliced2 red hot peppers, chopped fine (P2)3 tbsps.vegetable oilPinch of cayenne pepperSalt to taste1/2 cup water

Directions:
1. Place a wok on high heat, add 3 tbsps.vegetable oil, when hot, saute scallion, ginger, garlic, and red hot pepper until aromatic (P3).
P32. Then add shrimp, continue to cook for another 4 minutes, the shrimp is golden (P4).
P43. Add 1/2 cup water, toss pinch of cayenne pepper and salt to taste, then reduce the heat to medium, simmer until water reduces by about half.4. Remove from heat to a serving plate, serve hot (P5).
