Spicy Balsam Pear and Shrimp Stir-fry Recipe

This simple recipe lets the shrimp be the star, and the chili powder and cumin really add an subtle accent to this delicious shrimp. See how to make a mouth-watering dish at home.

1 balsam pear, deseeded, cut into strips12 shrimps, peeled, deveined1 green pepper, cut into thin strips1 tbsp.chopped scallion1 tbsp.chopped coriander1 tbsp.chili powder1 tbsp.ground cumin2 tbsps.vegetable oil

1. Heat 2 tbsps.vegetable oil in a wok over high heat till hot, add scallion and balsam pear, cook over medium heat for 3 minutes, or until the balsam pear is nearly cooked (P2).
P22. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp.chili powder and ground cumin, pour into 1/3 cup water, keep stirring for a while, then add shrimp, green pepper strips, and coriander back into the wok, stirring and tossing to mix everything together, about 3 minutes.
3. At the last minute of cooking, taste and adjust seasoning as desired, mix well and remove to a plate, serve hot (P3).
