Steamed Prawn Recipe

This is Chinese most famous recipe. Steamed prawn recipe is easy, delicious, and since it does not use deep-fry, much lower in fat.
Pot, plate.
14 oz./ 400 g prawn, rinsed, peeled and deveined1 bunch scallion, cut into strips2 tbsps.ground ginger root3 slices ginger1 tbsp.Szechuan peppercorns1 tbsp.sesame oil1 tbsp.Chinese rice wine, or dry sherry1 tbsp.dark soy sauce1 tbsp.rice vinegar
1. Lay the prawns out on a plate, top with scallion strips, ginger slices, and peppercorns, sprinkle with 1 tbsp.Chinese rice wine, mix well.
2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then put on the basket and then the plate, cover and steam for 10 minutes over high heat .
3. Take out the plate from the pot, discard the scallion, ginger and peppercorns.
4. Make dipping sauce by whisking 1 tbsp.rice vinegar, 1 tbsp.dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp.sesame oil, and 2 tbsps.ground ginger root together.
5. Serve with the dipping sauce. Feel free to substitute your favorite sauce as you wish.
