Stir-fried Balsam Pear With Prawn Recipe:

If you are in the mood for a hearty and tasty seafood dish, then the perfect stir-fried balsam pear with prawn recipe will satisfy your stomach. 

 

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

 

Utensils:

Wok, bowl.

 

Serves 2

 

Ingredients:
1/2-1 balsam pear, seeded and cut into 1-inch sections
7 oz./200 g prawn, peeled, deveined, rinse well
1 tbsp.chopped scallion
3 slices ginger, peeled
2 tbsps.vegetable oil
Seasonings:
1-2 tsp.salt, or to taste
1-2 cups water
Directions:
1. In a wok, heat 2 tbsps.vegetable oil to saute the scallion and ginger until aromatic, about 20 seconds. Add the balsam pear and stir fry over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes (P1).

2. Drain the prawn well, then add into the wok in question, stir fry over high heat until pink.
3. Pour 1-2 cups water into the wok, let simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, salt as you would (P2).
 
Simmer for 15 minutes

4. Dump into a warmed bowl and serve hot (P3).
