Lotus Seeds and Sticky Rice Soup:
Everyone loves soup, but when you feel like changing the routine, this tasty lotus seeds and sticky rice soup is just the thing.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Utensils:
Pot, bowl.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
1/2 cup lotus seeds1 cup sticky rice1/3 cup white sugar
Directions:
1. Soak lotus seeds in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain well and set aside (P1).2. Soak sticky rice in water for 1 hour ahead of time (P2).3. Preheat a large pot over high heat with enough water to cover, then add lotus seeds and sticky rice back into it, cook over high heat until steam appears, then reduce heat to medium , simmer until it becomes like a paste, add sugar and mix well (P3).4. Pour into individual bowls, serve warm or cold.
