Cauliflower Sweetcorn Recipe

Cauliflower Sweetcorn Recipe:
This cauliflower sweetcorn recipe is a great example of how just a couple of ingredients to creat a great sweet dish. If you are looking for an simple and tasty recipe, give this a try.

Utensils:
Pot, wok, colander, bowl, serving plate.
Serves 2
 
Ingredients:
1 cauliflower, about 7oz., shredded (P1)
1 can of sweetcorn, or 5 oz.sweetcorns (P1)
1 bunch scallion, chopped fine
2 tbsps.vegetable oil for stir frying
1 tbsp.cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 cup water
Salt to taste

Directions:
1. Bring a large pot of water to boil, blanch cauliflower for about 1 minute, or until tender (P2), drain well with a colander and place onto a plate for later use.

2. In the pot in question, blanch the sweetcorns for 1-2 minutes, then remove to a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking (P3).

3. Place a wok over high heat, heat 2 tbsps.vegetable oil till hot, saute scallion until begins to brown, then add cauliflower and sweetcorns back into the wok, stir fry for 1 minute over medium heat.
4. At last, pour into cornstarch water mixture, stir fry for 20 seconds, then turn off the heat.
5. Add salt and adjust the seasoning, serve on a plate (P4).
