Celery and Carrots Stir-fry Recipe:

This celery and carrots stir-fry recipe tastes sweet and tender, and it’s more nutritious when cooked in this manner. 

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 5 minutes

 

Utensils:

Wok, bowl, plate.

 

Serves 2 as a side dish.

 

Ingredients:
1 carrot, cut into thin slices
1 beaten egg
1/2 bunch celery
2 tbsps.vegetable oil for stir-frying
1 tsp.salt, or to taste

Directions:
1. Cut the celery into small pieces according to P1.
2. In a bowl, whisk the egg lightly with pinch of salt.
3. Heat 2 tbsps.vegetable oil in a wok, add whisked egg and scramble over medium heat until they are quite firm (P2).
4. Add the carrot slices and 1/2-1 tbsp.water into the wok, keep stirring for a further 2-3 minutes.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired, stir briefly to mix everything together, top with a sprinkling of chopped celery before serving (P3).

Tips:
1.  Carrot is famous for its high content of carotin, actually, carotin is easier to be absorbed by our body when cooked with oil, like the cooking method above.
