Meat and Green Pepper Stir-fry Recipe:
Meat and green pepper stir-fry recipe is a traditional homely dish. It is also a very nutritious course as the green pepper is rich in vitamin C.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Utensils:
Wok, bowl, plate.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
7oz./200 g pork
1-2 green peppers
1/2 ginger, peeled and cut julienne
1-2 cups water
2 tbsps.vegetable oil
Seasonings:
1 tsp.salt, or to taste
1/2 tbsp.cornstarch
Marinade:
1 tbsp.bean sauce
1 tbsp.light soy sauce
1 tbsp.cornstarch
1 tsp.white sugar
1 tbsp.water
Directions:
1. Cut the green pepper into long thin strips (P1).

2. Slice the pork, then cut into thin strips, gently combine with the marinade in a bowl, mix well and let marinate for about 15 minutes (P2).

3. Heat the wok with 1-2 tbsps.vegetable oil, use high heat to stir fry the pork strips until the pork changes color and is nearly cooked through, about 1 minute, then transfer to a plate for later use.
4. Add green pepper and ginger into the wok, stir fry over high heat for 20 seconds, or until soften, then toss 1 tsp.salt to taste, add pork back when green peppers are almost cooked, stir to mix everything together (P3).

5. Dissolve 1/2 tbsp.cornstarch in 1/4-1/2 cup water, mix well and pour into the wok, keep stirring for 10 seconds.
6. Dish out and serve hot (P4).

Tips:
1. In order to make the meat tender, you can add another 1-2 tbsp.water into the marinade.
2. You can also add 1 egg white into the marinade to keep the meat tender.
