Potato Balls Recipe

Potato Balls Recipe:
If you are a potato lover, you must try this crispy potato balls recipe, it is perfect for any party and works with a number of dips.
 
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
 
Utensils:
Pot, wok, plate.
 
Serves 2
 
Ingredients:
3 middle-sized potatoes
1 tbsp.chopped scallion
1 tbsp.chicken essence
1 tbsp.butter
1 beaten egg, lightly whisked
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp.salt, or to taste
5 tbsps.vgetable oil for deep-frying
Directions:

1. Rinse the potatoes well, then cook them in boiling water until done, peel and mash into paste with the back of a spoon, place into a bowl.

2. Stir in 1 tsp.salt, 1 tbsp.chopped scallion, 1 tbsp.chicken essence, and 1 tbsp.butter, stir until blended well (P1).

3. Form the paste into tiny balls of 2-inches diameter, place into a plate (P2).

4. Make batter by whisking whisked egg with 1/2 cup flour, the batter should be thick.

5. Lightly coat each potato balls with the batter.

6. Heat 5 tbsps.vegetable oil in a wok over high heat, when it is shimmering on the bottom and very hot, but not yet smoking, add potato balls in, deep fry over medium heat until golden-brown (P3).

7. Drain in a colander and dry on kitchen pappers, coat with your favorite sauce for a mouthwatering treat (P4).
