Stir Fry Pumpkin with Barbecued Meat Recipe

Stir Fry Pumpkin with Barbecued Meat Recipe:

When your brain wants pumpkin, but your heart wants barbecued meat, this simple pumpkin with barbecued meat recipe is perfect for you. 

 

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

 

Utensils:

Wok, bowl, plate.

 

Serves 2

 

Ingredients:
6 oz./170 g barbecued meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
9 oz./250 g pumpkin, cut into 1-inch cubes
3 slices ginger, peeled
2 cloves garlic, minced
5 tbsps.vegetable oil
2 cups water
Seasonings:
1 tbsp.oyster sauce
Proper quantity of salt to taste
Directions:
1. In a wok, heat 3 tbsps.vegetable oil over high heat till hot, add the barbecued meat cubes, stir fry about 2 minutes (P1). Then set aside for later use.

2. Pour off the excess oil, leaving 1 tbsp in the wok, saute the ginger and garlic until aromatic, about 20 seconds. Then add the pumpkin cubes, continue to cook for a further 3-5 minutes (P2).

3. Add the meat back into the wok in which it was cooked, add 1-2 cups water and 1 tbsp.oyster sauce. Cover and let simmer over low heat until the pumpkin cubes soften (P3).

4. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired, mix well.
5. Remove from the wok, serve on a plate (P4).
