Purchasing tips:
When choosing cabbage, select the firmly packed cabbage with fresh and crisp leaves wrapped, also the head of which should feel heavy for its size. Avoid cabbage with browned, wilted spots, yellowed, limp leaves, or split stem end.
Storage:
Store cabbage in plastic bag in the refrigerator for about a week or so.
Preparation and Usage:
Cut off the hard stem end,which has a stonger taste, discard any wilted or browned leaves if necessary, cut into thin wedges before you rinse thoroughly under running water, when finished, cut into slices or according to the recipes before ready to cook.
