Cloud Ears and Wood Ears

Cloud Ears:
Cloud ear is a type of fugus, features a delicate and crunchy texture, has no flavor of its own, but can soak in other flavors that cooked with, often used in soup recipes.

Black fungus, tree ears, and jelly mushroom.
Provide:
Any markets, you can find it stored in plastic bags in dried form.
Usage:
Soak in warm water for about 30 minutes until it puff up larger than before, but do not use cold water instead of warm ones, then trim the stem where it was attached to the wood.
Cloud ears are commonly used in soups, so chop them into pieces and add to the soup when nears done so that they can keep the crunchy texture as well.
Storage:
Stored in a container, it can last more than half a year.

Wood Ears:
Wood ear is also a type of fungus, but it is larger than cloud ear as well, and you can also find wood ears in dried form stored in platic bags. Unlike cloud ear, cloud ear can soak in cold water before use, about 30 minutes as well. You can add wood ears in your soup or stir fry them with other ingredients such as eggs and cucumbers to make a delicious dish.
