Cornstarch is starch powder that is white in color that is derived from the corn. In Chinese cuisine, cornstarch is usually mixed with water or other liquid to form a paste, then used as a thickener that added to soups, stews, and stir-fries at the final stage of cooking, which result in juicy texture of dishes.
